Attendee User Guide
When you first receive your login credentials, follow these steps to get started:
Go to the app URL provided by your show organizer in your web browser.
Enter the email and temporary password provided to you. The default password is usually changeme123 unless your organizer specified a different one.
You'll be prompted to create a new password. It must be at least 6 characters. Choose something you'll remember!
Fill in your name, phone number, and city/town. This information is used to identify you at the car show.
You'll see a list of car shows you've been assigned to. Tap on a show to enter it.
After selecting a show, you'll land on your Dashboard. This is your home screen with quick access to everything:
The dashboard also shows your name, the current show name, the show's header image and logo (if configured), and a contact email for the show organizer at the bottom.
AutoVotesPro supports three different types of car shows. Each one has different voting rules:
How it works: Each car is assigned to a specific class (e.g. "1965-1968 Mustang Coupe"). You get one vote per class. You pick your favorite car in each class.
When editing your car: You must select a class for your car.
Voting: Vote by scanning the QR code on a car's plaque or by entering the car number. Your vote goes to the class that car belongs to. Voting again in the same class replaces your previous vote.
Results: Winners are shown per class — the top voted car in each class wins.
How it works: There are no classes. All cars are in one big pool. You get a limited number of total votes (set by the organizer, e.g. Top 10 = 10 votes).
When editing your car: No class selection needed.
Voting: Vote for your favorite cars. You can vote for each car only once. A counter shows how many votes you have left. You can remove a vote by tapping the ✕ button on any of your votes.
Results: Cars are ranked by total votes received — the most popular cars win.
How it works: The show has classes, but every car appears in every class. You get one vote per class, and you can vote for any car in each class.
When editing your car: No class selection needed — your car automatically appears in all classes.
Voting: First select a class from the purple chips at the top of the voting screen, then vote for a car. You can vote for the same car in multiple classes, or different cars in each class.
Results: Winners are shown per class, with all cars ranked in each class.
Your show organizer has pre-assigned cars to your account. You need to fill in the details for each one.
Tap My Cars on the dashboard. You'll see a list of your assigned cars. Cars that need information will have an amber border and say "Tap to fill in details".
Tap on any car to edit it. Fill in:
Tap Vote for Cars on the dashboard to cast your votes.
The voting screen shows when voting opens and closes, and auto-refreshes every 30 seconds.
Tap "Open Camera Scanner" — point your phone's camera at the QR code on a car's plaque. The vote is cast automatically when the code is detected. Note: camera requires HTTPS to work on phones.
Type the car's number (shown on the plaque) and tap "Vote by Number".
Vote by number or QR. Your vote goes to the class that car belongs to. One vote per class — voting again replaces your previous pick.
An amber counter at the top shows: "Votes used: 3 / 10 — 7 votes remaining"
Vote for your favorite cars, one vote per car. When you're out of votes, you can remove a vote by tapping the ✕ button next to any of your existing votes to free up a slot.
Purple class selector chips appear at the top. Select a class first, then vote for any car in that class. You can vote once per class, for any car. Switch between classes using the chips to vote in each one.
Scroll down on the Vote screen to see all your current votes, including the car photo, car details, and class (if applicable).
Tap All Vehicles to browse every car registered in the show. Each car card shows:
Use the search bar at the top to find cars by number, make, model, owner name, color, or class.
Tap on a car card to see a full-screen view with a larger photo and QR code.
If the organizer has uploaded a show flyer, you'll see a View Show Flyer button on your dashboard. Tap it to view the flyer full-screen. Tap "Close Flyer" to return to the dashboard.
Tap My Profile on the dashboard to update your information:
Your email is shown but cannot be changed. Contact the show organizer if you need to update your email.
If you're registered for multiple car shows, tap My Shows to see all your shows and switch between them.
Shows that haven't opened yet or have closed will show a lock icon. You won't be able to enter them.
Tap "Forgot password?" on the login screen and follow the instructions, or contact your show organizer to have it reset.
Your organizer may not have assigned you to a show yet, or the show may not be open. Contact them for assistance.
Voting may not have started yet, or may have ended. Check the voting screen for the status banner showing the voting window times.
In a Top show, you have a limited number of votes. Scroll down to "My Votes" and tap the ✕ button on a vote to remove it, then you can vote for a different car.
Make sure the organizer has created classes for the show. If you see the voting screen but no class chips, contact the organizer.
You need to fill in your car details. Go to My Cars, tap on the car, and enter the make, model, etc.
In Top and Unique shows, no class selection is needed. For Classic shows, classes are set up by the show organizer. If you don't see the right class, contact them.
The camera requires a secure (HTTPS) connection to work on phones. Make sure you're accessing the app via https://. Try using the "Vote by Car Number" option instead.
Make sure you've selected the correct show. Go to "My Shows" on the dashboard, tap the show you want, and then go to All Vehicles.
Look at the bottom of your dashboard for the contact email. Tap it to send an email directly.
